Another great product by M-Audio in the Studiophile series is the Studiophile BX5a Deluxe edition active monitor set. It has the value you'd expect from M-Audio's home recording range and the clarity, features and power you'd expect from something a little more up-market.
The BX5a Deluxe edition updates the older BX5a monitors with several enhancements. The design has been overhauled with an attractive new case design, the circuitry has been bought up to date which includes a new low-frequency transducer for well-defined bass and a new custom amp has been added to integrate the high and low frequencies better.
The drivers are constructed from Kevlar, which as I have posted before, is a fantastic material for this application with it's thermal and mechanical resilience.
The BX5a Deluxe is also bi-amped, which is a nice touch to power the high end and low end independantly which reproduces all frequencies across the spectrum a lot more accurately.
As standard, bass ports, magnetical sheilding, XLR and TRS inputs and cool blue indicator lights on the front of the units.
Definitely worth a look! Click here for more information!

Check out my other Studio Monitor Reviews blog!
Hey guys, I've set up a bigger directory of Studio Monitors at Wordpress.com.
I did this because wordpress allows the creation of pages, so it may be a little easier to get indexed for direct google searches.
I'll still be updating here, so stay with me bloggers!

Technical Pro MRS-6 6 inch Studio Monitors
While not particuly flat reference monitors, these brilliant Technical Pro MRS6 studio monitors still look gorgeous on your desk and sound fantastic! Even better when you take a look at the price to your left!
The Technical Pro MRS6 are perfect for your home studio on a budget and feature a 6 inch woofer and a 3 inch tweeter. They put out 40 watts of power (one amplifier), meaning these are plenty loud enough for a small or medium sized room.
A standard RCA input is on the back, allowing you to hook these speakers up to almost any sound system!
They are pretty much the same size as a standard set of monitors which is cool too!

KRK Rokit RP5 G2 5 inch studio monitors!
A good friend of the blog, (! sense !) asked for my summary of the KRK RP5 G2 Rokit studio monitors (or something similar but here we go)
These KRK speakers feature an 8" inch glass aramid composite subwoofer and a 1" neodyum soft dome tweeter with ferro fluid. Solid design features that contribute to the nice build, which features rubberised footing on the bottom of the enclosure to reduce low-frequency coupling.
How do they sound? Loud. 140w per side in fact! There's no sane reason to bring these to full volume indoors, but the juice is there if you really need to. For such small units, this is an incredible punch for your price!
The KRK RP5 G2 Rokit has a low end frequency cut-off of about 52Hz. The higher end is extremely detailed, helped no end buy the quality of the tweeter which is not seen often in more budget speakers like this.
The controls are located on the back of the unit which features a generous amount of inputs: RCA unbalancced, Balanced 1/4 inch jack and XLR.
You get a high frequency adjustment pot for minor tweaks to the responce and a volume pot measured in dB.
Overall, an extremely good value speaker for your money. They are going down in price, so take a look at them now on Amazon.com.

behringer ms16 active monitors
These Behringer MS16 monitors may be the audiophile/musician on a budget's best bet!
They feature high power ampifiers that drive the 4" woofers and high resolution tweeters.
Two stereo line inputs are provided to connect other products such as iPods or mp3 players and the best thing is they are available to be used simultaneously.
They are magnetically shielded as you have come to expect from a trusted brand such as Behringer and they put out 8 watts per side which will fill smaller rooms easily!
There is a seperately adjustable 4" mic input which is a very cool feature for these speakers.
For the low end of the spectrum, these are the best value monitors you'll get for your money, and many users will tell you about how well they fit into their setup.
