Today I'm returning to Behringer once again, with the fantastic Truth B2030A active studio monitors.
They boast an ultra accurate frequency responce from 50hz all the way to 21kHz, they use dual amps with a large power reserve to power the woofer and tweeters independently, the woofer measures over 6 inch across and they are secured with a reinforced aluminium frame to reduce vibration.
The tweeters are ultra high resolution and have been ferrofluid-cooled. (This essentially is a part of the manufacturing process which makes them more durable and more resistant to heat)
On the back, the frequencies can be set for both the high end and the low end, which is a very nice touch for getting the optimal sound for whatever you are producing. There is also a room compensation switch which allows you to take out the lower frequencies, depending on what listening situation you are in.
These speakers are incredible, and I highly recommend that you check them out!

M-Audio Studiophile AV30 Active Studio Monitors!
A while back when I started this blog, I reviewed the best-selling M-Audio Studiophile AV40 monitors to a great reception.
Today I bring you the budget but brilliant option, the AV-30s which may appeal to you if you're on a tighter budget, and trust me they are brilliant!
They have an active active, look great, feature 3 inch woofers and 3/4 inch silk dome tweeters which bring the high ends really well. Bass ports throughout the case give the low ends the ability to push a lot more air.
15 watts per channel means that for the $99.99 you pay for it, you get a huge output! The power switch is tucked away on the back of the left speaker, you get the choice of auxillary inputs or 1/4 inch jacks, there is a bass boost switch for a heavier low end which is a nice touch for the money you pay.

Behringer B2030P Ultra Linear Passuive Reference Monitors
Sticking with my recurring theme of budget speakers for your home studio/gaming needs, I thought I may as well mention another good set of monitor speakers, the Behringer B2030P!
As the name suggests, these speakers have an ultra-linear frequency response ranging from 75hz to 21kHz. There's a solid woofer with a reinforced diaphram for solid bass and endurance. The magnetically shielded body is built out of die-cast aluminium and I think you'd agree, it'd look very nice sitting on any desk! The unit's main cabinet is built to keep vibration to a minimum, so you hear nothing but pure bass pumping out of the 6 3/4 inch woofers.
These passive speakers can handle up to 100 watts of input power. I have included a link on this post to a reference amplifier by Behringer, the A500. I would recommend you purchase it or at least check for similar stats so you know you're not going to blow your speakers and that they will sound incredible!

Avantone MixCubes Passive Studio Monitor
Today, something a little more unusual and compact.
The Avantone Mixcubes Passive Monitors are a little different from what I've summarized on here before, I've tended to stick to active monitors with integrated amps, which these are not!
These passive monitors feature passive full range 8 ohm drivers and a cuboid 6 1/2 inch cabinet with a retro-cream finish along with an aluminium frame to give it extra rigidity.
These speaker cabinets were built to advance on the older 5C Sound CubesO, which were a hit world wide, with a more linear frequency responce.
The intention of these monitors is to enable producers to hear their mixes over a smaller speaker set-up. The recommended power rating is 50-200 watts of solid state power or 10-1000 watts of tube power. Avantone advise using a high quality sutdio-greade power amp.

M-Audio Studiophile BX5a Deluxe 70-watt Bi-amplified Studio Reference Monitors
Another great product by M-Audio in the Studiophile series is the Studiophile BX5a Deluxe edition active monitor set. It has the value you'd expect from M-Audio's home recording range and the clarity, features and power you'd expect from something a little more up-market.
The BX5a Deluxe edition updates the older BX5a monitors with several enhancements. The design has been overhauled with an attractive new case design, the circuitry has been bought up to date which includes a new low-frequency transducer for well-defined bass and a new custom amp has been added to integrate the high and low frequencies better.
The drivers are constructed from Kevlar, which as I have posted before, is a fantastic material for this application with it's thermal and mechanical resilience.
